We advocate for Flotilla 95's growth and success, fostering a community where everyone can enjoy Marco Island's waterways safely and responsibly.

Founded in 1999 as the Marco Island Safe Boating Association (MISBA), our dedication to Flotilla 95 knew no bounds. We championed their first home, a humble doublewide trailer, for 25 years. But our sights were set higher. In 2009, a clear vision emerged: a permanent facility to solidify Flotilla 95's future and amplify their impact on safe boating education. In July of 2012 the Board of the MISBA voted to change its name to the “Friends of Marco Island Flotilla 9-5, Inc. to highlight our commitment to Flotilla 95. Through unwavering commitment and collaboration with Collier County, that vision finally became reality in late 2022 with the completion of a state-of-the-art Flotilla 95 headquarters. Today, Friends of Marco Island Flotilla 9-5 proudly equips them with the tools and resources needed to educate thousands of boaters each year, ensuring a safer future for all on Marco Island's waters. .
Our board members provide the essential resources - equipment, facilities, and support - that allow Flotilla 95 to deliver vital boating safety education to the community.
